Panoramic Image Applet
My Canon PowerShot S30 digital camera came with software to glue
together a series of overlapping images in a circular pattern
for a complete panorama.
I wrote this java applet so that the resulting JPEG file
(whose left and right edges match perfectly forming a cylinder)
could be viewed on the web.
Please select one of the following panoramas:
- View from the Chimney Tops, Smoky Mtn. Natl. Park
- My backyard in Urbana, in May
and in August.
- The main quad on the U. Illinois, Urbana campus.
- Vertical panorama of
the Gateway Arch in St. Louis.
- Berlin from the tower
of the Französischer Dom in Gendermenmarkt.
- Berlin from the tower
of the Berliner Dom on the Museumsinsel.
- near Zweisimmen, Switzerland.
- near Leysin, Switzerland.
- five panoramas in the Cascade Range, southern Washington.
- Barcelona from the Columbus tower
- The Alpujarra mountains in Spain:
Bubión and
village of Capileira and
the mountains from there.
I also have some composite wide-angle images that aren't complete panoramas;
most are available from the general photos section,
but a few are only here:
